Corporate Social Responsibility

Defending the environment means defending our health. Being healthy does not simply mean not having disease or infirmity, but also implies living in suitable economic, social and environmental conditions. To achieve the goal of “Health,” every man must be able to improve the environment in which he lives. The environment is not lifeless matter, it is not a static reality, it is not a theater in which man creates and destroys at will, nor is it owned by man. The environment is born with man, and as parallel and different realities, they must necessarily be able to adapt to each other in order to coexist. We are not anonymous inhabitants of a land of which we have no awareness. We represent the future, and together we are able to make it better by working on our own resources in order to grow. Eco-commitment must be at the center of our lives.

The FAO estimates that 1.3 billion tons of food is wasted each year, accounting for 1/3 of total production for human consumption. Food waste alone in Italy has an economic value of around 13 billion euros a year. Equoevento Onlus is a nonprofit organization that realizing the huge waste of food at events, wanted to organize to remedy it by recovering and donating surplus food to charities, foster homes, the poor and the needy. The excellent food produced in excess at the events and not consumed is collected and donated to the less fortunate, who within hours of the event use it with great joy. Donating surplus food from the event is an act of humility and fairness, because sharing one’s meals with less fortunate people means exempting oneself from judging disadvantaged people by placing oneself on the same level as human beings.

The Code of Ethics is a tool for implementing good behavior practices, a reference point and a guide for those who work at Aequor and those who have an interest in pursuing its mission. It expresses commitments and responsibilities that those who work at Aequor assume in conducting every business activity. The Code of Ethics is approved by the Board of Directors of Aequor Sicurezza and all Group Companies and commits management, employees, external collaborators, business partners, suppliers and all those who have relations with the Aequor Group. Precise rules of conduct have also been set for managing relations with various stakeholders. And within the framework of this entrepreneurial commitment ennobled by ethical values, spending on safety is presented more as an investment than as a cost, and it is more an ambition than a duty to provide, in the interest of workers’ welfare and safety, related services of high quality, always up to date with regulations, determined by careful, correct, objective, disinterested and documented study.

Instability and a highly dynamic work environment require increasing levels of commitment from employees in terms of both the amount of work and emotional and cognitive involvement. Therefore, in recent years, employees increasingly feel the difficulty of managing their time without sacrificing work, personal commitments and family life. We care about being able to contribute to individual peace of mind by creating greater involvement of people also in relation to possible ways of managing work time, such as flexible hours, or alternative forms, such as telecommuting. At the center of every person’s life, it is important that there is family. Therefore, we encourage the relationship with family members by allowing them to spend as much time together as possible.
