I followed the first aid course organized in the company with Alberto and Federico, intensive care nurse and doctor... respectively.I am extremely satisfied with the notions learned which are very valuable.I appreciate the awareness and prevention work they carry out because they are people who love their work and put themselves on the front line to save our lives. The most important thing I take with me is that we can all make a difference in an emergency while waiting for help to arrive, by adopting the behaviors and instructions taught during the course.I really recommend everyone to take a first aid course because anyone can be in need and we can only hope that there is someone who knows what to do while waiting for help.Do it for yourselves, for those you love, for those in need, for civic sense and to all be a little more human.read more

Admitting and not granting that the duration of the course was quite long, I must say that the arguments are truly many... and, above all, the list of competent figures in the corporate sector... too many. COURSE FOR THE USE OF DAE DEFIBRILLATOR – BLSD

In Italy, cardiovascular disease is the cause of more than 41 percent of deaths, while sudden cardiac deaths, in which death occurs within an hour of the onset of symptoms, affect between 45,000 and 60,000 Italians each year.
The factors that positively affect victims’ chances of survival are closely dependent on the earliness of intervention, the underlying rhythm, and subsequent treatment. Early initiation of resuscitation maneuvers is a necessary condition for saving a person’s life.

A specific course must be taken to use the AED.

A short course is provided for use, at the end of which, after passing a test, a certificate is issued. An AED (automatic external defibrillator) is a small machine that contains inside it two adhesive plates that can detect alterations in the heart’s electrical activity and deliver an electric shock when needed.
It is composed of a central body, the brain of the apparatus, which can analyze the data transmitted through the plates and provide vocal directions to the user who is using it regarding the procedures to be put in place.
Contents:

  • Criteria for identifying cardiac arrest
  • Basic resuscitation maneuvers (cardiac massage)
  • AED operation and use.

When the AED, after being applied to the victim in cardiac arrest, recognizes ventricular fibrillation, which is a malignant arrhythmia of the heart, it delivers an electric shock that resets the heart muscle and stops the arrhythmia.
5 essential steps to follow when using an AED:

  1. Turn on the device
  2. Connect plate cables to the defibrillator
  3. Attach the adhesive plates to the patient’s chest.
  4. Enable rhythm analysis
  5. Press the shock button if expressly indicated by the machine
AEDs are simple to use in that it is the machine itself that, through an electronic voice, guides the operator step by step. The AED determines whether it is necessary to deliver the electric shock and suggests with voice messages the next course of action on the victim.
It is always important to remember how defibrillation alone can havelimited effectiveness: it is important that it is also combined with proper cardiac massage.
Yes. A short course is provided for use, at the end of which, after passing a test, a certificate is issued.
On the victim, action should be taken as soon as possible as it should be considered that cardiac arrest, not promptly treated, results in irreversible brain damage within 10 minutes.
Currently, AEDs can also be found in public places such as train stations, airports, shopping malls, sports centers, ski slopes or at companies or factories. A project is also being developed to install them at pharmacies especially in rural areas. They are contained within cases or cases marked by the appropriate green and white sign.
